Restoration

Elise Grace

Twin coaches were ordered by J Bullock & Sons and delivered to them in May 1950 coach No’s.     341 and 342 the twins they were named Alice and Jane

The chassis were delivered by Daimler Limited to Willowbrook Limited where they had their bodies fitted and started their long service of over 70 years in September of 1950 J Bullock & Sons were taken over by West Riding Automobile company both the coaches were operated by them until 1967 they then passed to Mansfield School in May 1967.

Both coaches were then sold to Mr R Searle for preservation, we purchased both coaches in March 2015 to add a further dimension to our business renting classic cars on the Cote D’ azure

Over the last 3 years we have restored coach No.342 taking her back to a bear chassis and then painstakingly restored her into what you see today. Coach No.341 is still a work in progress but she will soon join her sister bringing enjoyment to our clients on the French Riviera.

On the 14th July (Bastille Day in France) my wife and I were blessed with twin girls now 3½ years old they are named Elise and Grace so we thought it appropriate to name the coaches after our girls as the coaches were themselves twins.
